Frieda Henning has joined PLWC!!

Frieda Henning has joined PLWC and the Cancer buddies  as Project Manager

We are excited to have this special Breast  Cancer Survivor on our team and look forward to new exciting projects that she will be launching  in the near future  .

Frieda is  not only a  cancer survivor with a passion for community mobilisation,  but she is also a keen  motorbike  fan and will be harnessing  this love of motorbikes in her  community outreach projects  for PLWC.

She and her team of cancer  bike riding  cancer survivors will be assisting PLWC in growing our cancer buddy groups  across South Africa while educating and  spreading cancer awareness .  In so doing they will be contributing to education of the public re early detection of cancer and also in breaking  down the stigma that still remains  with regards to  cancer in the communities .

The PLWC awareness campaign will focus on cancer survivorship issues and  will assist in celebrating cancer survivorship across the country . We hope that this new  initiative will assist in   building the Cancer Buddy brand in South Africa and will highlight how many cancer survivors we have in our beautiful country .

We also hope to identify problem areas that needs special attention and to assist in  addressing  cancer issues that survivors may be dealing with as an organisation  in a more proactive  cancer advocacy  drive.  South Africans  need to speak up  and hear the voice of cancer survivors .
