All of our monthly meetings take place on the first Saturday of the month from 14h00 to 16h00 at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Groenkloof – Mary Potter Oncology Conference Hall (enter into the hospital through the main entrance – turn immediately right and follow the pointers to our meeting).

Bottles of Hope

Ms Candice Joy of Crawford College in Pretoria decided to do a fundraiser in conjunction with a cancer awareness project.

They decided on the “Bottles of Hope” project that was started by Wilma Lotter in conjunction with the West View Methodist Church last year.  The “Bottles of Hope” is a project whereby any person/pupil/teacher could buy a bottle and decorate it and place an inspirational message inside the bottle.  Ms Joy and students from the college went through to the Steve Biko children’s oncology ward on Tuesday the 26th September to hand out the bottles as well as to play, paint and interact with the children in the ward.

The money raised from the project was handed over to PLWC at an assembly on Wednesday the 27th October.
